Alas, This Probably Won’t Sink Navy’s Diversity Mania

The Chronicle reports that the Naval Academy has been forced into a settlement with the English professor it retaliated against because he dared to publicly criticize the school for its “affirmative action” policies. Bad enough that one of our service academies should prefer a “diverse” student body to the best qualified; worse still that it should retaliate against a faculty member for speaking out. To call this an embarrassment is putting it mildly.

But will this flap cause Navy to change its policies? I rather doubt it.
