Allen Mendenhall Reviews Unlearning Liberty (second edition)

Greg Lukianoff’s excellent book on the disturbing trend on college campuses toward stifling debate and even innocent expressions that might be offensive to someone now has a second edition. Greg goes back to some of the controversies that hadn’t been settled at the time of the writing of Unlearning Liberty’s first edition and the new edition also includes some photographs. Unfortunately, he can’t report that the hostility to free speech has begun to abate. It hasn’t.

Alabama attorney Allen Mendenhall reviews the book for The Freeman. He writes that universities “have become echo chambers in which certain members seek to enforce a rigid orthodoxy and to promote complacent groupthink.”
