A’Mad’s Nazi Predecessor

Many PBC followers already know that in 1933 – nearly three-quarters of a century before Ahmadinejad’s appearance at Columbia yesterday – the university rolled out the welcome mat for Nazi Germany’s ambassador to the United States, Hans Luther. Less known is that at that time, Williams College terminated its program of student exchanges with Nazi Germany, while Columbia and other universities declined to do likewise.
