Phi Beta Cons

And the Winner Is…

I spent the weekend in Arizona at the editors conference of the Collegiate Network, the consortium of nearly 100 conservative and libertarian student newspapers. Years ago, I attended this annual event as a student; now I’m invited as a speaker. I always come away impressed with the quality of these publications as well as with the young men and women who produce them.
On Saturday night, the CN handed out its annual awards:
Best paper: The Boston College Observer
Best new paper: The Virginia Informer (of William & Mary)
Best website: The Wabash Commentary
Best magazine layout and design: The Gonzaga Witness
Best newspaper layout and design: The Villanova Times
Congrats to all!
