Another Person Sees that Higher Ed Has Been Oversold

Law professor Kenneth Anderson, writing at Volokh Conspiracy, suggests that the great disparity between costs and benefits of college might give rise to a new profession — consultants who would specialize in telling students and parents whether projected college/career plans would work out or not. If this gets any traction, it probably won’t be long before some university begins a program for credentialing people who want to go into the field of advising people on the question of the return on investment of college degrees.
