AP African-American History?

Black students are not taking Advanced Placement courses that are becoming increasingly important for college admission. The solution that is being proposed to the College Board? Creating an AP African American History course—a necessary step, naturally, since the College Board’s AP American History curriculum only suggests that 1/3 of the course’s themes focus on celebrating U.S. “Diversity” and “Slavery and Its Legacies.” College Board representatives said they would be open to the idea, if it could gain the approval of college professors.
