FIRE reports that a Dave Barry quote has been banned from public display at Marquette University, after being deemed “patently offensive.”
The quote, displayed on a philosophy grad student’s door, was this light-hearted libertarian quip: “As Americans we must always remember that we all have a common enemy, an enemy that is dangerous, powerful, and relentless. I refer, of course, to the federal government.”
