Bradley Foundation Honors UVA Professor James Ceaser

I am pleased to write that the Bradley Foundation has chosen to honor University of Virginia professor James Ceaser with one of its 2015 prizes. He directs UVA’s Program for Constitutionalism and Democracy and has authored many books. In the press release, Bradley Foundation president Michael Grebe said, “Professor Ceaser is a leading scholar of American political thought. He is one of our nation’s most well-respected and influential educators.”

For many years, I had been reading Jim Ceaser’s work, but finally had the chance to meet him last month at a Liberty Fund conference devoted the the Constitutional Convention, organized by GMU law professor Frank Buckley. Adding Ceaser to the roster of discussants was a brilliant stroke, because his deep knowledge of the Constitution and American politics generally made the conference really excellent.

Congratulations to Jim Ceasar and bravo to the Bradley selection committee.
