‘Bullying’ as a Means of Suppressing Speech

Hans Bader has an excellent piece on the phenomenon of schools (from kindergarten through college) having “bullying” prohibitions so broad that they can make free expression an offense.

He brings up the fascinating case of historian Michael Bellesiles, whose book Arming America was lionized by the leftist media until scholars demonstrated that the evidence he relied upon was fabricated. His accusers, although clearly correct, were accused of “bullying” poor Bellesiles!
