Damage to and by Duke

The university seems to be paying a price for its deplorable handling of the alleged rape attack by three members of its lacrosse team last year. Among other indicators, as Richard Baehr reports, early decision applications to the campus dropped 20% from last year.
But the names of the three accused lacrosse players, almost certainly innocent of the charges filed against them, have been sullied forever, and their families have had to litigate to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars to defend their sons.
However Duke may suffer it is naught next to the damage done to these athletes and their families.
