Damage Done by Diversity at Navy

Today’s Pope Center Clarion Call is by a graduate of and former history instructor at the Naval Academy. He laments the tension that the politically correct demand for “diversity” sets up between individual merit and arbitrary preferences in pursuit of the foolish idea that the Navy must mirror society at large. Of all the places where we should want merit to be the sole criterion for selection and advancement, he argues that it should be our armed forces.
