Do Cover-Ups Pay?

As widely reported three administrators from Eastern Michigan University have been fired for allegedly suppressing the truth about a student’s rape and murder. 
Barely reported, however, is the fact that in departing EMU they are to receive a combined $542,000. Compliments to the Ann Arbor News for its vigilance on the matter. 
The EMU Regents need to explain why rewards were in order for the trio.
