The Network of Enlightened Women (NeW) got a plug in the Washington Times this morning on the heels of their Time magazine coverage from last month. NeW had its first national conference on Friday, honoring Danielle Sturgis from Drake University with the first Enlightened Woman of the Year award. Danielle caused a storm this past year at Drake University in Iowa with her NeW chapter, organizing several great events to counter the radical Vagina Monologues play. She also co-founded an immigration focused group, Citizens for Tight Borders, which caused a stir of its own.
