Minding the Campus today has this excellent essay by Professor Donald Downs (author of Restoring Free Speech and Liberty on Campus) on the politicization of the university. Specifically, he’s writing about the absurd program at the University of Delaware that amounted to an upscale version of a Soviet reeducation camp. Downs points out that it isn’t only radical faculty who are responsible for efforts at thought-control on campus, but also administrative types who are just as much true believers in the whole “diversity” project.
