God & Campus Life

An editorial in today’s Christian Science Monitor makes the case that university communities should be less skittish in indulging their students’ thirst for spiritual fulfillment. The Monitor makes the point that schools need to take more “teaching opportunities” to bring religion and spirituality into the curriculum.
Truth used to be at the heart of university life. It’s encouraging to know that 50-some years later, academics and administrators may be dusting off old copies of WFB’s God and Man at Yale (which the editorial cites, by the way), as prescient today as it was then.
