HBCUs, Diversity, and Graduation Rates

On the one hand, some of them have fine records on graduating students and getting them into graduate and professional schools, as a new report shows. John Rosenberg, however, points out that those good educational results occur without diversity. Read his post, with a link to the glowing report, here.

On the other hand, some HBCUs have embarrassingly low graduation rates — as bad or worse than the for-profit schools now being flogged by Senator Harkin. But he doesn’t attack the HBCUs.
