How Dare You Release Our Grades!

I recently wrote about how Oberlin students are demanding that no grade lower than C be given because they’re so immersed in really important activism. Now we find that Johns Hopkins students insist that the school not release grades at all. To do so, they claim, is an attack on ‘marginalized students.”

In fact, it’s such an attack that students might suffer mental breakdowns if the school releases their grades. Read all about it in this College Fix story.

We get some excellent insights into the beliefs of our current crop of students, such as Erica Taicz, who says, “I’ve heard a lot of feedback from parents and the administration that kind of makes me feel like we are just trying to be coddled, and it’s not it at all. I’m paying so much I expect to be able to be critical of that service when it doesn’t support me.”

All right then — colleges are supposed to provide support to delicate students, which means not letting the news slip out that some haven’t learned much.
