In this illuminating article on the University of Delaware’s atrocious residence hall program, Robert Spencer brings to light a wealth of interesting detail. One point that stands out is this: “For every five entering freshmen at UD, there’s one full or part-time professional or bureaucrat. Across the country, offices of Institutional Equity, Multicultural Programming, and Residential Life employ thousands; they’re long on ideological mission and short on real justification.”
It would be interesting to compare the budgets for such administrative personnel at high-budget “flagship” schools with those at low-budget state and private institutions.
