John Rosenberg writes here about NC A&T’s new “chief diversity officer.” The official’s previous post was at the University of Virginia, where he pulled in a cool salary of $315,000 per year. I would like to know how much he’ll be paid at NC A&T, but no matter how much it is, the job is just make-work, an offering to the gods of political correctness. The students at A&T would receive just as good an education if the school had no “chief diversity officer.” Taxpayers, however, would save some money.
