John Rosenberg notes here that a recent Rasmussen poll finds that by more than two-to-one, Americans disapprove of “affirmative action” programs, but argues that the results would probably be more lopsided if the questions were asked differently, or if more insightful questions were asked.
Here is a question I’d like to see in future polls on this issue:
Do you agree that students should be regarded as more valuable to the college community because they happen to have African or Hispanic ancestry?
