The Islamic Republic News Agency, which is under the thumb of the tyrannical Iranian president and reigning mullahs, has taken an interest in Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week, specifically David Horowitz’s scheduled appearance on Friday, October 26, at Columbia University. IRNA has issued what amounts to a press release aimed at mobilizing (in the words of David Horowitz in an email) “faculty and student supporters of the Islamo-fascist jihad, apparently including members of the infamous MEALAC Department at Columbia to attack our event.” According to the press release, the opponents of IFAW are organizing under the slogan “Not On Our Campus” with the help of Columbia’s Intercultural Resources Center. Horowitz, a true man of courage, adds:
It’s unfortunate that Columbia administrators have allowed their campus to be ruled by thugs who want to suppress free speech. We hope that sufficient precautions will have been taken to prevent the obstruction of a lecture that will focus on the oppression of Muslim women and gays, and that has been organized by Columbia students in accord with Columbia regulations. However, we are not going to be intimidated by the friends of Ahmadinejad or anyone else.
