Improving Life Through Profitable Business

Here is a great Forbes piece by Professor Brian Brenberg, in which he explains why college students should stop thinking that they’re doing something bad if they pursue careers in business rather than in the non-profit sector (where they supposedly “give back to society”).

Where do students get the idea that careers in profit-making businesses are disreputable? No doubt part of the explanation is that teachers and professors they’ve had — hardly any of whom have ever worked in a business — keep saying that profit is dirty and decent people should have nothing to do with it.
