Today’s Wall Street Journal includes a letter from Heather Knewtson, a woman who makes a good case against the NLRB’s efforts to require “quickie” elections. She notes that it is not just management (Washington State University in her instance) that needs time to reply to the typical union promises, but also workers (she was a grad student) who do not want unionism forced upon them. I particularly like her concluding plea for a return to voluntary unionism.
