Scott Johnson reports at Power Line that Juan Cole, recently up for a senior professorship in the history of the Middle East at Yale, has been voted down by Yale’s Senior Appointments Committee. Yale alumn and former NR intern Eliana Johnson and Mitch Webber took to the New York Sun to warn against the hiring months ago. It would seem their counsel has been heeded.
