I am comparing yesterday’s item on the Corner here reporting on the City of Phoenix’s efforts to recruit more black and Latino lifeguards — even if they aren’t strong swimmers – with my 2010 Phi Beta Cons item here that ridiculed a a politically correct (but entirely fictional) policy in training lifeguards. To be fair, though, in this instance life is much funnier than art.
