To Make Things More Equitable….

Suppose that a college professor used a grading system similar to our tax code, with progressively higher taxes (point deductions) from students as they did better than average in order to have welfare payments (additional points) for students who didn’t do well. SUNY-Purchase economics professor Sandy Ikeda writes about that prospect in this Freeman article. Just as income distribution that isn’t equal must be inequitable, so too with grades, right students?
