The small Muslim nation of The Maldives has ordered its state-run television to quit praising Palestinian Authority suicide bombers as jihadis and to stop employing women who cover their heads. These are interpreted as efforts to stop the spread of Islamic terrorism in the country, home to many Sunni Muslims and a destination for wealthy tourists. The opposition Adalaath party condemned the new decrees, calling them “a denial of [women’s] basic religious freedom, the right to seek justice.” (Israel National News)
