Another View of Professor Click’s Firing

Yes, as Tom Lindsay remarks in his Real Clear Policy column, the market is sending a message to the University of Missouri in the form of reduced student applications and lower donations. But I agree with FIRE–Melissa Click, the embattled professor who was recently fired, should have been treated like other faculty, not differently just because she was caught on camera trying to keep the press away. She apologized and resigned her “courtesy” post with the journalism department. That should be enough.
