In Memoriam Norma Gabler 1923-2007

In 1961 a Texas homemaker named Norma Gabler opened her son’s high school textbook and was shocked to discover the revisionist history that was being forced upon her son; the words “under God” had been airbrushed from the Lincoln Memorial. Gabler and her husband began lobbying the state government to remove factual errors, as well anti-American rhetoric. Ultimately the couple founded Educational Research Analysts, a conservative Christian non-profit group, to fight against the “politically-correct degradation of academics” prevalent in the textbook industry.

Mrs. Gabler was put to rest last Saturday.
