A Microcosm of U.S. Activism

The University of Missouri is proving to be a microcosm of student activism. As Jennifer Kabbany wrote earlier, some bold students, members of the Young Americans for Liberty burned an ISIS flag to demonstrate opposition to the terrorist organization. Now, other Mizzou students are trying to get the school’s statue of Thomas Jefferson removed from campus, reports the College Fix.  A petition on Change.org says that the statue “perpetuates a sexist-racist atmosphere that continues to reside on campus.”
