Add personal finance to the list that includes civic education and other topics that millennials are not learning as they enter their twenties. USA Today has a sad piece on twentysomethings who are struggling with managing “dollars and cents.”
On the bright side, the WSJ ran a Q&A article on affording college with the following “Q”:
I am a high-school teacher, and my students are very concerned about the cost of student loans. Beyond attending community college first and transferring to a four-year school, how else can students avoid debt?
Worrying about student loans before college is one area where it’s not at all bad for students to start young.
