Evidently, we at PBCs have come late to this discussion. Footbaths have already been installed at Stanford, the University of Houston, Boston College, and other places. At Minneapolis Community and Technical College, the decision to install the footbaths came after a Muslim student slipped and hit her head while trying to wash her feet in the sink. And water slopping onto the floor was creating a hazard for other students as well. Also, at MCTC, there are hundreds of Muslim women students who are veiled head to toe. What’s that about Muslims in America being better assimilated than in Europe?
