An interesting donor-intent case involving Tulane University and Newcomb College goes to oral arguments on May 8. In short, plaintiffs allege that Tulane is using post-Katrina reconstruction as an opportunity to absorb Newcomb College and seize its assets, even though Newcomb donors have insisted that the college for women maintain a separate identity within Tulane.
