Frank DeFord has a segment on NPR today talking about Title IX. He does a good job of laying out the problems of Title IX enforcement, but is a little shaky on the solutions (he fails to mention the possibility of student interest surveys, which would be a huge step in Title IX reform by finally taking the athletes’ preferences into account and giving schools much needed flexibility). Regardless, it’s refreshing to see NPR tackle the issue.
