One-World Naivete at State

Some months ago, seven Palestinians from Gaza, Hamas-controlled territory — remember, we’re supposed to be supporting Fatah (groan), not Hamas — were awarded Fulbrights by our State Department to study in the United States. Israel believed there were security risks involved, would not grant them exit visas, and were even wary of letting them come to Jerusalem for their interviews with American officials.
Secretary Rice was furious, but now the State Department has revoked the American visas of three of the seven, citing “additional information.” See this Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs report. Maybe Israel knows about security risks from Gaza better than we do?
