Political Bigotry in Minnesota?

Upon learning that his views on same-sex marriage may have contributed to Hamlin College officials’ denying him the opportunity to teach a business-law class, former Minnesota Gubernatorial candidate Tom Emmer noted:

To say I’m disappointed would be an understatement. . . . We don’t have to agree with each other, but we can learn from each other. I was going to teach a business-law course, not a political-science course. I think universities should be places of tolerance where, hopefully, different perspectives are welcome. . . . Talk of bigotry, this is not racial but this is political bigotry and it is of the worst kind.
