The usually mild-mannered George Leef got pretty annoyed at a recent New Yorker piece by Jane Mayer. Her screed attacked Art Pope and also took some unfair jabs at the John W. Pope Center for Higher Education Policy. Have a look at George’s principled defense in response to what he correctly calls a “scurrilous attack.” Art Pope also had some judicious words about the piece in an article on the Corner, “Another Failed Political Assassination.”
