Racial-Preference-Disclosure Amendment Offered in House

For some time now, fellow NRO contributor Peter Kirsanow and I have been urging more sunshine–more disclosure–regarding the use of racial and ethnic admission preferences by universities. The case for such preferences is weak enough, but what could be the possible excuse for secret racial preferences, funded by taxpayer dollars?
