Re: Conservative Activism

The problem with conservative activism–an oxymoron–reminds me of an old joke about the Fabians, a group of moderate leftists in Britain. Their more radical critics suggested that they adopt a political chant: “What do we want?” Gradual change! “When do we want it?” In due course!

That’s a pathetic rallying cry. It’s also kind of conservative.
