Good analysis, Robert, except that it isn’t true that you have to be really, really smart to get into law school these days. To get into any of the elite schools, you do, but there are far more mid-range and below law schools that aren’t (and can’t be) terribly choosy as to their students. I find it awfully hard to believe that there is any significant number of young Americans who would actually make good lawyers (serving all those various “constituencies” the report talks about) who are prevented from getting into law school at all because they don’t do well on the LSAT.
