Re: Open Letter

Excellent, Roger! The diversity mania has gone far enough in capturing the education system. It should be stopped before it also captures all of the professions. The idea that every group of people needs to have the right percentages of “representation” from each sub-group within society is astoundingly foolish.

Should the National Basketball Association apologize to all the groups that have been “underrepresented” among its players over the years (whites, short people, women, Native Americans, Aleutian Islanders, and so on) and institute an affirmative-action program to atone for all its past insensitivity?
It’s time to get over the fixation on group identities and just deal with people as individuals.
