Rewarding the “Cry-bullies”

The Obama administration is famous for leaping to unwarranted conclusions, such as the instance when the prez declared that the Cambridge police had “acted stupidly” in the Gates affair.

As we read in this Liberty Unyielding post by CEI’s Hans Bader, the White House has done it again. Press secretary Josh Earnest, speaking for the administration, praised the protesters at Missouri and Yale. Are the circumstances clear? Were the actions commensurate with whatever is thought to have occurred? Doesn’t matter in the least! Obama feels obligated to express his solidarity with all leftist complainers. He and his minions never miss an opportunity to advance their narrative that America is basically a terrible place that requires all of their “progressive” intervention to save.

In his post, Bader argues persuasively that the triggering “events” at Missouri were fabricated. There is a lot of history of SJW types doing that. “When swastikas or racial epithets are posted on campus,” he writes, “it is commonly trolling by progressives students determined to make their school look racist….” Sadly, many of the putative grown-ups on campus condone and even reward such behavior.

BTW, “cry-bullies” is a better name than “snowflakes.” These people are not harmless and vulnerable. They’re aggressive and nasty.
