Obama’s red herring du jour is the rising cost of college. Professor Marc Eisner offers some thoughts on rising costs in this Pileus blog post. He observes that much of the increase in costs has been in student amenities. Those amenities do little to help students learn better; in fact, I’d say that they add to the distractions students have.
