Must confess that I look dimly on the whole platonic opposite-sex friendship idea that’s come out of the gender movement, but student activists are very eager to use whatever means they have to force the issue. At Dartmouth, Harvard, U. Penn, and elsewhere student assemblies are approving resolutions demanding that their schools offer co-educational dorm rooms. It’s a natural progression from co-educational bathrooms, I suppose. And like unisex showers, co-ed dorms are generally met with very little interest among students.
