The Wall Street Journal features a terrific editorial on the Dartmouth battle.
The decision to enlarge the board and fill it with people who will bow down to the administration is just like FDR’s Court Packing plan of 1937 — except that FDR didn’t get his way and apparently the Dartmouth

administration will.
Key line: “At least this fracas strips bare the pretense that alumni have any college role beyond writing checks.” That’s it exactly.
