Some Good Words for Duke

The Pope Center’s investigations into contemporary academe usually find reason to fault trends and decisions, but not always. A new paper written by Dr. Russell Nieli of Princeton about two excellent curricular developments for Duke undergraduates — the Focus and Gerst programs — praises them.
The paper, The Decline and Revival of Liberal Learning at Duke: The Focus and Gerst Programs, is available here and I comment on the panel discussion that coincided with its release here.
