The higher education accountability movement is picking up steam. Inside Higher Ed reports that mandatory standardized testing of graduating seniors may be in the works in Texas. Gov. Rick Perry has proposed that seniors be required to take exams in their specialties. Colleges’ state funds would be linked to students’ scores, so institutions with high rates of student success would be rewarded with more money.
