Steve Horwitz on Malinvestments in Higher Ed

In a Freeman piece, economics professor Steve Horwitz takes a look at higher education through “Austrian” lenses and sees it as another instance of the economic waste that inevitably results when government intervenes to promote a good that the country supposedly needs more of than we’d get through purely voluntary means. He calls it a “mini-boom” rather than a “bubble,” and I’m going to ask him about the distinction.
