American universities are steadfast in their protection of academic freedom, right? They’re unwavering in their commitment to free inquiry and discussion of issues, right?
Well, not if it involves criticism of Obamacare. As we read here, a study of the impact of Obamacare by the Beacon Hill Institute, which has had a long relationship with the university, has been spiked by the university’s president. Beacon Hill president David Tuerck says that this isn’t the first time he has encountered opposition to research that puts “progressive” policies in a bad light. He is ready to sever the relationship.
