Sullivan v. Sullivan

University of Virginia president Teresa Sullivan is a perfect fit for modern American university president in that she supports the “diversity” crusade full-throttle. But as John Rosenberg observes in this essay, in her early academic career, she adhered to the traditional civil-rights concept that individuals should be evaluated on their particular merits, not as “representatives” of some group based on ancestry or happenstance.
